How to set up Amazon Echo Dot

Amazon Echo Dot, a small device, connects to your Wi Fi network. It allows you to use voice commands for smart home devices such as lights, fans, thermostats, and more. To start listening to music and news, you can simply say "Alexa". Ask questions, send messages, make calls, place calls, add events to your calendar, play games and read the news. You can also get driving directions, order food from restaurants or check traffic conditions. Bluetooth speakers or headphones can be used with it (sold separately), so music can be played throughout the house.

Your Alexa enabled device can be connected via an HDMI cable and/or wireless adapter to your TV. If you want to use your Echo Dot with multiple TVs, just buy one wireless adapter per TV. You can also pair multiple Echos at once, so they work together even if they aren't physically near each other.

These are the steps to set your Echo Dot up

  1. Turn off your Echo Dot.
  2. The Echo Dot's Ethernet port allows you to connect it to your Wi Fi router. Turn off the power switch.
